What is a gift in Will?

A gift in your Will is a pledge to make a future donation to charity. The Museum of Health is a registered business name with Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, when writing your Will we encourage you to clearly state that the purpose of your gift is for the use of the Museum of Health.

These sample clauses are for guidance only. When making or updating your Will, we strongly recommend you seek professional legal advice to ensure your Will is valid and reflects your wishes.

The Museum of Health is a registered business name with Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, so make sure the person preparing your Will uses our charity name Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and adds our ABN 29 572 118 270 to your Will.

I give to the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, (insert the type of gift, for example, “the residue of my estate”/ “or a percentage of the residue of my estate” / a specific sum of money for the use of the Museum of Health. I express the wish without creating any binding trust, that if practicable this gift be applied towards (state purpose as widely possible). I declare that the receipt of Toowoomba Hospital Foundation is sufficient discharge to my Trustee.

We understand that making a Will can be a very private matter, so you are under no obligation to share this information with us. However, we do love to hear from those who support the Museum as it gives us the opportunity to personally thank you for leaving such a special gift.
